Making Pattern Paper

Do you ever have one of those moments where you just can't find the right pattern paper you want to go with your card? I do! So my simple solution was to make my own pattern paper. After I had stamped my flower & leaves, from CTMH's "Cottage Floral", in Hollyhock, Buttercup, Sweet Leaf & Olive, I used coordinating paper (Hollyhock) to use for the pattern paper. I then used Papertrey's "Spots & Dots" to create the pattern paper. I stamped my "spots" in Smokey Plum since that was the color of my base. I then accented some of the "spots" with Momento's Tuxedo Black. Then my pattern paper was complete. All I needed to do was assemble my card. I used my Fiskars border punch, foam dots and some ribbon to complete this card.

Here is a close up of my flower...

And here is a close up of the pattern paper. This really was a fun and easy project!
