Friends "Furever"

This little set was made for MFT's Idol Judges Challenge. This week it was to be creative with packaging. MFT has come out with some neat new ideas on packaging gifts...check them out here... http://www.mftstamps.com
I made my little set for my puppies. They can drive me crazy from time to time, eat my brand new flip flops, pee on the carpet...but they always are happy to see me and great company when the kids are at school! I filled it with their favorite treat, milk bones. One of my pups even knows how to get them out of the box they come in. Sneaky little thing she is! I hand cut out a "buckle" for the ribbon to make it look more like a collar. I also added crystal effects on the "buckle". I sewed the end of the ribbon and used my crop-o-dile to punch the eyelets in. I used Martha Stewart's circle cutter to make the perfect circles for the lid. **When it comes to getting a good circle, that circle cutter is AWESOME!!!**

Here is the top of the container...

The card. Now I know my dogs won't really care to much about the card, but I figured it made the set, well a set! I cut out the ovals with my nestabilities and then propped the red one up on foam dots. You can't really see it very well but the collar, hair, shirt, shorts and shoes are all layered. The shirt is layer three times and the shorts, hair, shoes and collar are layered twice.
Recipe: Stamp: MFT's "Friends Furever", Ink: Copic Sketch markers, Momento Tuxedo Black, Paper: Hobby Lobby cardstock, Misc: Crystal Effects, foam dimensional, silver elastic, eyelets, ribbon, nestabilities, Martha Stewart circle cutter.
