Joy To the World…

Joy to the World has to be one of my favorite Christmas song.  I love listening to Christmas songs when I make my Christmas cards, it helps me get in to the festive spirit.

For this card I used one of my favorite alpha stamp sets, Chocolate Alphabet from CTMH.  This is just a very whimsical kind of alpha stamp set.  I also used Christmas Melodies.  I thought the little notes were perfect for this card.

Inside I used the sentiment from Evergreen.  Even though it isn’t part of the tune to “Joy to the World” I still thought it went well with the card.  A few musical notes on the bottom and my card was complete.

I really liked how this card came together.  It was one that I hadn’t planned out and just kind of went with.

I hope you enjoy this card! I still have quiet a few more Christmas cards to make, hopefully they will all get mailed out BEFORE Christmas this year.

Oh Christmas Tree

I was browsing the web and saw someone (sorry I can’t remember where) had a Christmas Tree with their kids pictures as ornaments on them.  So I decided to make my own version of it.  I used my Paper Dolls Cricut cartridge to make my tree and Plantin Schoolbook to make my circles…umm I mean “ornaments”.  I sponged the edges of the tree and ornaments.  I then used some twine to make little bows.  I punched out a star and added a button.  I have to say buttons and ribbons are my absolute favorite embellishments! Then I stamped my snowflakes and Merry Christmas on to my chalkboard.  I have to say this is one of my favorite little projects so far.  I already have a special place for it.
