Celebrating Flopsey!

It's time for another MFT Idol Judge Challenge! This week we were to use one of the Flopsey sets to Celebrate Flopsey. For this week I chose to use my "Flopsey Flowers" set. I also used "Congrats All Around" for my 'congrats' sentiment. I just got a Cricut Expressions for part of my Mother's Day gift so I used it to cut out my Flopsey letters, grass and scallops. I am used to the regular Cricut and this one has more bells and whistles so it will take some time to get familiar with it...but while I am, I'm enjoying playing around with it for now.

For this card, I wanted it to be more simplistic, so I didn't go crazy with all the little add ons. I really had to hold myself back...I had thought about adding some stickles here and there, some bling...but literally sat on my hands and talked myself out of it. I did decide to add some little buttons and some whiskers to Flopsey. The whiskers are just embroidery thread that I tied in a knot, colored the knot black with my copics and then let the ends unravel. I used Zip Dry to hold it on. I figured those added just the right amount with out going overboard!

You can see Flopsey's whiskers more clearly here...

Thanks so much for stopping by...:o)
